The Top Tells the Story The centerpiece here is the spruce top — not just any spruce, but bound Italian Alpine spruce sourced from the Fiemme Valley in the Dolomites, the same wood family luthiers have prized for centuries. Paired with a semi-hollow ash body, it gives this bass an airy resonance and openness you don't get from a solid slab. The Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, in a rich two-tone Violin Burst with a matching painted headstock, lets that spruce grain show through instead of hiding it under a thick coat. Neck Built for Long Sessions A roasted flame maple neck in a modern "C" profile sits under your hand, feeding into an ebony fingerboard with a 7.25"–9.5" compound radius. Translation: comfortable low on the neck, flat and fast up high. Twenty narrow-tall frets and a clean, inlay-free board keep the look as understated as the tone is complex.
