Vandoren M13 Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece – 13 Series

The M13 facing is designed with the Profile 88 beak. The difference between ”Profile 88” and Traditional mouthpieces is in the exterior angle of the beak:


The "13 series" was developed by Vandoren to meet the needs of American clarinetists using A440 pitch. There are now several Traditional series Vandoren facings available with A440 pitch:
M13, M13 Lyre, M15, M30, 5RV, 5RV Lyre, B45, B40, B40 Lyre and M30 Lyre
Tonal Comparisons:

M13: Rich, colorful sound. Very precise response. Meets every demand.

M13 Lyre: More open than M13, easier playing upper register; a particularly pure sound.

M15: Great articulation ease. Offers musicians a colorful spectrum of sound.

M30: Great flexibility, a good balance between timbre and roundness.

M30 Lyre: Like the 5RV Lyre with larger tip opening and longer facing, guarantees flexibility and roundness; exceptional quality of sound.
